Noah Wiegand refers each of his works to traditions of thought. Extracts and quotes mix together freely in his titles and texts, when their arbitrary use remains deliberately vague. The artist activates and dramatizes his plays, like addresses to our over-ordered societies.

By his poetic assemblages of raw and artificial materials, his work concerns less a social criticism than the exploration of the universal motif: exoticism, primitivism, duties and desires, creations and movements…

The illustration of human frailty is described in the form of attempts, in actions and in objects.

The dramatic charge carried by these works is obvious, when it announces that our civilization, founded on memories of the past, will soon become the ruin of future cultures founded today. But Noah Wiegand’s use of knowledge is also virtuous. His aim is to include everything in the same movement, seeking the essential gesture.
